Klein St. Paul (official) is a market town in the district of St. Veit an der Glan in Carinthia. Klein St. Paul is located in the middle Görtschitztal valley about 36 km northeast of Klagenfurt. Culture and sights

The Hornburg was a twin castle (Oberhornburg and Niederhornburg). The ruins of the main castle, built in the 12th century, lie on the summit of the Hornberg on the western slope of the Saualpe between Eberstein and Klein St. Paul. Mentioned in documents in 1140, the extension took place in 1414. Originally it was owned by the Counts of Gorizia, then by the ministerial Hornburgs. In the 15th century it was an imperial fiefdom, in 1581 it was sold to Sigmund Welzer of Eberstein; from 1630 to 1939 it was owned by the Christalnigg family.

The Upper Hornburg was a rectangular fortified house from the first half of the 12th century. To the east of the castle stands the ruins of the Gothic chapel from the 14th century. From the lower Hornburg today there are only small remains of a former rectangular fortified house of the 12th century, in the east there are parts of the former ring and a residential building of the 13th/14th century. The Hornburg has been in decay since the 17th century.
