Anras is a municipality with 1222 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2022) in the judicial district and district of Lienz in Tyrol (Austria).The municipality of Anras is located in the East Tyrolean part of the Pustertal valley, which is crossed by the Drava river. It is located a good 15 kilometers west of Lienz.

The municipal territory extends over both sides of the valley, but the settlement is mainly north of the Drava. The main village with some hamlets is located on the Pustertaler Höhenstraße, and there are also settlements on the valley floor.

The municipal area of Anras, located in the middle Pustertal, extends from the mountains of the Defereggengebirge (Villgratner Berge) to the foothills of the Lienz Dolomites and from the Erlbach (border against Abfaltersbach) to the Kristeinbach (border against Assling).

Culture and sights

    In the center of the village is the Pfleggerichtshaus Schloss Anras.
    The Catholic parish church of Anras St. Stephen is structurally connected to the Pfleghaus.
    Catholic Filial Church Anras St. Anthony of Padua stands slightly elevated in the west, just there a Way of the Cross with a Holy Sepulchre Chapel at the end.
