Kematen in Tirol is a municipality with 3001 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2022) in the district of Innsbruck-Land in Tyrol (Austria). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Innsbruck. Kematen is located in the Inn Valley, at the mouth of the Melach (from the Sellrain Valley) into the Inn River.
Culture and sights
Catholic parish church Kematen in Tirol Hll. Viktor und Maria Magdalena: The core of the parish church dates back to the 13th-14th century, was baroqueized around 1750 and received new furnishings in 1872. Freestanding granaries, erected in the 14th century to store the tithe, still exist.
