Alpbach (dialect Åibåch) is a municipality in the district of Kufstein in Tyrol in Austria with 2530 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2022) and is located at the end of the Alpbach Valley. The municipality is part of the judicial district of Rattenberg. Alpbach is located in the Kitzbühel Alps in the inner Alpbach Valley at the foot of the 1898-meter-high Gratlspitz. The district Inneralpbach (dialect Inn?tåi) forms the head of the valley.
Culture and sights

    Parish Church Alpbach: Catholic parish church in honor of St. Oswald with surrounding local cemetery. Characteristic of the local cemetery is the uniform appearance of the gravesites. Wrought-iron crucifixes have been or are being erected over the graves.
    Wooden houses: Worth seeing are the wooden houses, which are richly decorated with flowers in the summer, and the farms on the slopes.
    Hof Vorderunterberg: established as a mountain farm museum
    Congress Centrum Alpbach: In 1999 the Congress Centrum Alpbach was opened.

The European Forum was founded in August 1945 by Otto Molden and Simon Moser under the name Internationale Hochschulwochen. A little later, in 1949, it was renamed the European Forum Alpbach.[5] The event brings together international personalities from the fields of science, business, culture and politics, including several Nobel Prize winners, every year in late summer at the Congress Centrum Alpbach.

Throughout the year, meetings and congresses are held in the Congress Centrum.

The village offers various sports opportunities:

    In summer: hiking, Nordic walking, inline skating, mountain biking, trekking, rafting, fishing, canyoning, horseback riding, tennis, (asphalt) stick shooting, archery, fitness training, paragliding, hunting, climbing.
    In winter: Skiing in the ski area at Wiedersberger Horn, Schatzberg and Auffach with a connection to the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau area, cross-country skiing, curling, tobogganing, ski touring.
