Pension Kaiserer is located just a few minutes walk from the Hochalmbahnen ski area, right in the center of Rauris, a charming mountain village at almost 1000m above sea level.

 

The clearly arranged skiing area is suitable for beginners, families and all those who feel comfortable away from mass tourism.

In addition to the 30 perfectly groomed kilometers of slopes, the Raurisertal offers:
Toboggan run
moonlight tobogganing
guided torchlight hikes
an ice climbing tower and
snowshoe trails through the Rauris primeval forest.

In addition, you will find a range of fantastic cross-country ski trails in our valley.

The golden valley of the Alps is considered an insider tip for all enthusiastic ski tourers. For beginners as well as for those who want to go higher, our pension offers the perfect base camp.

The guesthouse Kaiserer is located in the middle of Rauris, a small charming village nearly 1000 meters above sea level.

In Rauris lots of relicts will remind you of the gold rush and the former mining, which took place hundreds of years ago.

Enjoy the panorama of the so-called „Tauernfenster", which means the view of mountains up to 3000 meters.

We offer a great variety of breakfasts every day.

All our apartments have separate bathrooms, showers, and toilets. The small flats have their own balcony as well as a TV.

The big kitchen offers enough space for a comfortable dining table. The apartments are ideal for 4-5 persons and have 2-3 bedrooms.

Rauris is a market town in the province of Salzburg in the district of Zell am See in Austria. The municipality is located in Pinzgau in the province of Salzburg on the Rauriser Ache below the Sonnblickgruppe in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park and extends over the Raurisertal valley. Rauris is the largest municipality in Salzburg in terms of area.

Culture and sights

Parish church of St. Jacob and St. Martin 

Sonnblick Observatory: The trade Ignaz Rojacher revived gold mining again in the 19th century. In 1886, under very difficult circumstances, he built the meteorological observatory on the Hohe Sonnblick as the world's first and highest meteorological observation station. The material ropeway to the Sonnblick to supply the weather station was completed in 1954. Until then, everything that was needed had to be carried from the valley to the summit.
