St. Jakob in Haus is a municipality in the district of Kitzbühel in Tyrol (Austria). St. Jakob in Haus is the smallest municipality in the district of Kitzbühel and is located in the Pillerseetal valley, which branches off from Fieberbrunn.
Culture and sights
Catholic Parish Church of St. Jakob in Haus: The parish church of St. Jakob the Elder was probably built in 1273 and first mentioned in a document in 1308. When in 1689 an avalanche destroyed the church down to the foundation walls, it was rebuilt on the same site. The figures from the time of construction are by Georg Faistenberger, the altarpiece Resurrection of Jesus Christ by Ignaz Faistenberger and the ceiling painting by Johann Endfelder.
