Marktgemeinde Fieberbrunn

Fieberbrunn is a market town with 4525 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2022) in Tyrol. The municipality is located in the judicial district of Kitzbühel.
The market town of Fieberbrunn is located in the Pillerseetal on the Fieberbrunner Ache between the Kitzbühel Alps in the south and western foothills of the Leoganger Steinberge.

Fieberbrunn is a popular winter sports resort due to its snow reliability. In December 2015, Bergbahnen Fieberbrunn merged with the Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm/Leogang. The Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm/Leogang/Fieberbrunn comprises 70 lifts, of which 27 are gondola lifts, 22 are chairlifts and 21 are surface or practice lifts. The transport capacity of the lifts in winter is 126,000 people per hour. The total of 270 kilometers of slopes are divided into 140 km of blue, 110 km of red and 20 kilometers of black slopes. The ski area is particularly known for its freeride offer, which attracts international attention. The annual stop of the Swatch Freeride World Tour in Fieberbrunn is the highlight of the local freeride season.

In addition to skiing, guests can enjoy a 27-kilometer cross-country ski trail network.

For summer tourism, the Lauchsee lake is important; the Simon Schwaiger ski jump is also located at this bathing lake. Furthermore, there are 150 km of hiking trails as well as signposted mountain bike trails. Another attraction is the Wildsee at an altitude of 1847 m as well as the most demanding mountain marathon in Austria Kitz Alps Trail with start and finish in Fieberbrunn.
