Hallwang is a municipality in the Austrian district of Salzburg-Umgebung. Hallwang is located directly on the northern outskirts of the provincial capital Salzburg at an altitude between 450 and 850 meters above sea level.

Soccer: UFC SV Hallwang, founded in 1968, plays in the highest division in Salzburg, the Salzburg League. Cycling: In the period from September 19 to 24, 2006, the city of Salzburg and its environs were the scene of the Road Cycling World Championships. Hallwang was the site of one of the key sections of the course, as well as a large visitor center, campgrounds and fringe events. A total of 330,000 spectators attended this event - many of them in Hallwang.
