Gries am Brenner is a municipality in the district of Innsbruck-Land, in the Austrian state of Tyrol. The municipality lies in the judicial district of Innsbruck.The border community with South Tyrol (Italy) is located on the Brenner Pass in the North Tyrolean part of the Wipptal. The village forms a cluster of hamlets surrounded by other hamlets and individual farms. The southern part of the village, Lueg, was a customs post in the Middle Ages.
