We are a family-friendly private house with an award of 4 Edelweiss in a sunny, quiet and yet central location on the outskirts of Rauris, very close to the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen.

You can use our numerous hiking and biking trails in Rauris from the house.

The 30 km long Raurisertal is one of the longest side valleys of the Salzach. At the end of the Raurisertal, in the valley head Kolm Saigurn, stands the Hohe Sonnblick (3106m) with the Sonnblick Observatory, the highest weather station in Europe. In winter, the Rauris Valley attracts with the family-friendly skiing area Rauriser Hochalmbahnen and numerous winter sports activities off the slopes. In summer, our guests enjoy the 295 km of marked hiking trails and the nature of the Hohe Tauern National Park. At the southern end, the valley borders the Hohe Tauern National Park, which has been in existence since 1981, and here you can also still find some traces from the gold mining era.

Haus Schönegger is situated in a very quiet and idyllic location. Nevertheless, the lifts of the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen, restaurants and stores are easily accessible on foot and in just a few minutes.

Arrival / Your way to us:

The best way to get to Rauris is via the Tauern freeway (A10) to the Bischofshofen exit. From Bischofshofen follow the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße (B311) to the end of Taxenbach. There the Rauriser Landesstraße (L112) branches off into the beautiful Raurisertal.

TV, radio, internet, safe, hairdryer, bed linen, towels, fully equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and dishwasher (on request: crib, high chair), separate WC, bathroom with bathtub and shower.
