Ellbögen is a municipality with 1143 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2022) in the district of Innsbruck-Land, Tyrol (Austria). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Innsbruck.Ellbögen is a scattered settlement twelve kilometers south of Innsbruck, located on the eastern side of the Wipptal valley.The municipality is characterized by agriculture and soft tourism, in addition, there is a large proportion of commuters. The two run-of-river power plants Viggarbach and Falkasanerbach meanwhile also contribute to the income of the municipality
