Regular events

Kranzlingfest Haslach: one of the largest tent festivals in the Rohrbach district, held every year at Whitsun on the Kranzling recreational area in Haslach.
Weavers' Market: weavers' market known far beyond the regional borders, organized annually by the volunteer-run association "Textile Kultur Haslach". In the old part of town Auf der Stelzen, textile makers from all over Europe present high-quality products and individual creations.
Textile Culture Haslach: Every year, the large summer symposium "Textile Culture Haslach" takes place. During the 14-day event, courses are held on all aspects of weaving on the handloom, but a variety of other textile techniques are also taught by recognized course instructors from several countries. The symposium is rounded off by numerous workshops, experimental workshops, exhibitions and a supporting program with specialist lectures, theater and dance performances, readings and musical events. These are open to both professional and lay audiences.

The association was founded in 1991 and has set itself the task of promoting textile art and culture in its broad spectrum. The aim is to create a link between tradition and modernity, art and technology, craft and industry, research and teaching, experiment and practice.
Haslach offers a historically rich foundation stone for this. The town on the Mühl in the upper Mühlviertel and its surroundings were an important center for the linen industry for several centuries, and some of them still are today. The team of Textile Culture Haslach wants to tie in with this tradition in a contemporary way.

Culinary specialties
