Hitzendorf is a market town in the district of Graz-Umgebung in western Styria (Austria). As of January 1, 2015, the formerly independent municipalities of Attendorf and Rohrbach-Steinberg were incorporated as part of the Styrian municipal structural reform. The village Hitzendorf is located in the middle Liebochtal and the eastern Södingtal, about ten kilometers west of Graz.

Museums

The village of Altreiteregg is home to Gerhard Lackner's Porsche Diesel Tractor Museum, the largest Porsche tractor collection in Austria with 27 restored tractors on an area of about 400 m².[8]
Galleries

Hitzendorf has two galleries and art studios. The Christian Gollob Gallery features stone water sculptures by the artist of the same name, Christian Gollob. The second gallery Robert W. Wilfing belongs to the painter and stainless steel artist of the same name.[9]
Church

The Hitzendorf parish of Maria zu den drei Feichten was first documented in 1450. In 1699, a large part of the village, including the church and all written records, was destroyed by fire. In the 17th century two side chapels were added to the initially single-nave church. The main altar dates back to 1888 and has a neo-Gothic style. The church also houses two statues by Hans Brandstetter.[10]
Cycling
Since 2006, the 2/6/12/24-hour Hitzendorf Cycling Trophy has been held annually at the beginning of September on a 3.85 k short circuit with 30 hm around the Kirschenhalle.[11] On September 3, 2022, a collision occurred between a 33-year-old participant and a car that had driven onto the circuit.
