Halbturn is a municipality in Burgenland in the district of Neusiedl am See in Austria. Halbturn (Burgenland "Hoibtuan") is located near the Hungarian border. Another part of the village is Wittmannshof.
Culture and sights
Halbturn Castle: baroque castle complex, built between 1701 and 1711 by Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt, later rebuilt by the court architect Franz Anton Hillebrandt, and frescoed by Franz Anton Maulbertsch. Originally built as a hunting lodge for Emperor Charles VI. The castle regularly hosts events such as exhibitions and the Halbturn Castle Concerts.
