Radenthein is an Austrian municipality in the district of Spittal an der Drau in the federal state of Carinthia. Radenthein is located in the Gegendtal valley northeast of Lake Millstätter See at the foot of the Nockberge mountains. Radenthein is divided into the following six cadastral communities: Döbriach, Kaning, Laufenberg, Radenthein, St. Peter in Tweng and Tweng. The cadastral communities of St. Peter in Tweng and Tweng, with the villages of St. Peter and Hohensaß and Obertweng and Untertweng respectively, are districts of the municipality of Radenthein. The name comes from the local gorge (narrows) of the Riegerbach coming from Bad Kleinkirchheim and covers the core of the Catholic parish of St. Peter in Tweng.
