Frohnleiten is a town with 6633 inhabitants in the district of Graz-Umgebung in the Austrian state of Styria. The town is located 30 km north of the
capital Graz directly on the Mur, the most important river in the province, where the Middle Mur Valley narrows between the Upper Styrian transportation hub of
Bruck an der Mur and Graz. Here, the Mur forms a breakthrough valley between the high mountains of the Gleinalpe and the Hochlantsch and offers picturesque views in the bends.
