Events
One of the biggest events in the region is the Pischelsdorf Folk Festival and the Pischelsdorf Business Fair. It is held annually on Ascension Day on the grounds around the Oststeirerhalle. The traditional folk festival is organized by the Pischelsdorf Volunteer Fire Department, a special feature here is the business fair in its own tent hall and the large amusement park. The grilled sausages, which are prepared on a large charcoal grill before the eyes of the festival visitors, are considered a specialty of the folk festival that is known far beyond the borders of the municipality.

Cultural initiatives
The cultural initiative K.U.L.M., founded in 1993 by Richard Frankenberger, has achieved supra-regional significance. In exhibitions, readings, symposia and artistic interventions, it devotes itself to questions of art, society and ecology. Since its founding in 1993, it has repeatedly contributed program items to the Steirischer Herbst art festival. In 1995 it moved into the venue "Kulturstock 3" in the former shoe factory of the village. The "Rastplatz K.U.L.M." on Wechsel Straße with the "Nomadin" viewing platform and the geodesic "Dom" are among the landmarks on the outskirts of Pischelsdorf. Since the retirement of Richard Frankenberger, the "kulturinitiative kulm" is managed by Gertraud Ranegger. The range of activities offered by the cultural initiative has been expanded to include artist-in-residence programs.
