Karres is a municipality with 630 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2022) in the Imst district (Imst judicial district) of the Austrian state of Tyrol (Austria). The municipality of Karres is located in the Upper Inn Valley, at the southwestern foot of the Tschirgant. The clustered village is situated on a hill above the Inn River, which here forms a gorge and at the same time the southern border.
