Edlbach is a municipality in Upper Austria in the district of Kirchdorf im Traunviertel with 657 inhabitants. Edlbach lies at an altitude of 770 m in the Traunviertel.
Originally located in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria, the village has belonged to the Duchy of Austria since the 12th century. Since 1490 it has belonged to the 
Principality of Austria ob der Enns.

Culture and sights

The 12.86-hectare Edlbacher Moor nature reserve is located in the municipality. It is a partially drained, largely peat-covered raised bog. 
It was predominantly forested, with small areas of unwooded land remaining.
