Bad Tatzmannsdorf is a municipality in the district of Oberwart in Burgenland in Austria. It is the largest spa town in Burgenland. The municipality is located in southern Burgenland in the district of Oberwart in the valley of the Tschadbach and the upper reaches of the Drumlingbach. It is the transition zone between Bernsteiner Gebirge / Günser Gebirge and the Südburgenländischen Riedelland.

Culture and sights

    Jormannsdorf Castle
    Catholic parish church Bad Tatzmannsdorf St. John the Baptist: The church was built in 1967/68 next to the site of an older church from 1896.

    Protestant Peace Church Bad Tatzmannsdorf: The Peace Church of the Protestant parish A.B. was built in 1968 according to the plans of the architects Charlotte and Karl Pfeiler.
    The open-air museum Bad Tatzmannsdorf with buildings from the 18th and 19th century in southern Burgenland was opened in 1972.
    The spa museum gives an overview of the development of the spa industry in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, the largest spa town in Burgenland, from 1620 to the present. It was opened in 1990.

    The railroad line Oberwart - Bad Tatzmannsdorf - Oberschützen has been revitalized since the summer of 2005 by the non-profit association FROWOS - Freunde der Bahnlinie Oberwart-Oberschützen. In 2012 the operating license of the association was withdrawn
    The Christmas house of the Gollnhuber family in the Sulzriegel district is visited by numerous people during the Christmas season. The proceeds generated are donated to charitable organizations.
