Basilica of St. Michael: On June 24, 2000, the parish church with the patrocinium of St. Michael was elevated to basilica minor. On the right side altar is the image of Our Lady, venerated since June 24, 1797. Many votive tablets in the basilica testify to answered prayers. Absam is a place of Marian pilgrimage because of the miraculous image, which is why the basilica is often called the Marian Basilica, although the basilica itself is not entrusted to the patrocinium of the Mother of God.
