Bezau in the Bregenzerwald

The market town of Bezau is located at an altitude of 650 m above sea level in the Hinteren Bregenzerwald and is home to nearly 2000 villagers. With an area of 34.3 km², the community is one of the largest Bregenzerwald communities in terms of area.

As a market community of the Bregenzerwald, Bezau has a great economic importance in the region. Due to the supra-local institutions such as the district court, the notary's office, the monastery, the federal schools, but also due to the many stores, handicraft and gastronomy businesses, Bezau has become an important meeting point in the valley community.
